Lake House Kitchen Remodel

This lake house kitchen remodel involved a complete transformation of an existing kitchen, with the goal of improving layout, increasing natural light, and creating a more open connection to the surrounding living and dining areas. The renovation focused on opening up the space while delivering a clean, contemporary finish that complemented the rest of the home.

To achieve a more open and functional layout, a wall between the kitchen and dining area was removed. This reconfiguration created improved sightlines to the outdoors, allowing more natural light into the space and giving the kitchen a brighter, more expansive feel. A custom peninsula was installed between the kitchen and dining area to maximize base cabinet storage, countertop space, and seating options.

The kitchen ceiling was updated by replacing the existing standard ceiling with a vaulted ceiling, significantly enhancing the sense of height and openness. New white cabinetry and quartz countertops were installed to modernize the space and reflect natural light throughout the kitchen. A full-wall backsplash was added to provide durability while adding visual depth and character.

Additional updates included new appliances, modern lighting, and engineered hardwood flooring to create a cohesive finish throughout the space. Careful attention was given to layout, material transitions, and finish carpentry details to ensure the kitchen integrated seamlessly with adjacent living areas.

The images below highlight the completed lake house kitchen remodel, along with selected before photos to provide context and illustrate the transformation. This project reflects custom kitchen remodeling work completed in lake homes throughout West Kelowna and the surrounding Okanagan region.
