Modular Home Remodel
Full Interior Remodel with Open-Concept Reconfiguration
This modular home renovation in West Kelowna involved a full interior remodel focused on improving functionality, enhancing sightlines, and creating a more open and cohesive living environment. The project was designed to modernize the home while introducing subtle rustic elements that complemented the surrounding lake setting and views of Okanagan Lake.
The interior was fully updated throughout, including the kitchen, living room, main bathroom, spare bedroom, and primary bedroom with ensuite. Work included new engineered hardwood flooring, updated millwork, drywall, light fixtures, and fresh interior paint to create a consistent and refreshed aesthetic across the home. To improve natural light and energy efficiency, existing windows were replaced with larger units, and new exterior sliding glass doors were installed.
The kitchen renovation focused on improving flow and functionality by removing a wall that separated the kitchen from the adjacent living space. This reconfiguration created an open-concept layout better suited to modern living. The updated kitchen features new cabinetry, countertops, backsplash, modern appliances, and a large island that increased both storage and workspace.
Living and sunroom areas were reworked to create a larger, more unified space. This involved removing a load-bearing wall and installing an engineered beam to support the structure while opening up the layout. These changes significantly improved sightlines and connectivity between living areas.
The main bathroom was renovated with a focus on light, privacy, and usability. Updates included the installation of a large oval frosted window, a glass-enclosed shower, new tile, and updated vanity, fixtures, and lighting. Bedroom spaces were also reconfigured to improve functionality, including the addition of a separate exterior entrance and custom barn door details.
The primary bedroom and ensuite were updated to enhance comfort and storage, including the construction of a walk-in closet and ensuite improvements featuring a new vanity and a soaker tub with ceramic tile surround. Exterior updates completed as part of the renovation included new soffit, fascia board, and vinyl siding, giving the home a refreshed and cohesive exterior appearance.
