Spa-Inspired Bathroom Renovation
This bathroom renovation was completed in West Kelowna on Old Westside Road and involved a full transformation of an existing bathroom with a focus on comfort, functionality, and durability. The goal of the renovation was to create a calming, spa-inspired space while delivering a clean, modern finish suited to everyday use.
To achieve this, the existing shower and tile were removed and the space was reframed to accommodate a large soaker tub. Heated flooring was installed to provide consistent warmth underfoot, requiring careful planning and sequencing to ensure proper integration beneath the finished floor surface. Glossy light grey ceramic floor tiles were selected to reflect light and brighten the space, while white subway tile was installed around the tub to create a clean and timeless backdrop.
The existing toilet was removed and replaced with a new fixture positioned behind a partial wall, improving privacy and contributing to a more refined layout. Additional updates included new finishes, paint, and detailed carpentry work throughout the space. Soft greys and whites were used throughout the bathroom to create a neutral, cohesive palette that enhances the sense of calm and openness.
Bathroom renovations of this type require close attention to layout, waterproofing, material transitions, and installation order to ensure a well-finished result. Particular care was taken to ensure all fixtures, flooring, and tile work were aligned and installed to a high standard. The completed renovation delivers a functional and serene bathroom that balances comfort, performance, and visual clarity.
